Funeral for Wayne State University police officer Collin Rose

A funeral mass will be held Thursday for slain Wayne State University police officer Collin Rose. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Joan of Arch Church in St. Clair Shores, followed immediately by the funeral mass.

Detroit police chief: 2 unprovoked attacks on officers in 24-hour period

Detroit Police Chief James Craig expressed his concern Thursday morning about two officer-involved shootings in the past 24 hours which he called senseless and unprovoked. 

Troy police: Employee reports workplace assault at Haagen Dazs

Troy police are investigating reports of an employee at Haagen Dazs being assaulted by a fellow employee.

National Kidney Foundation of Michigan to host 12th annual Kidney Ball Saturday

The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan will be hosting the 12th annual Kidney Ball on Saturday Dec. 3 at the MotorCity Casino Hotel. The event hosts more than 800 business executives and socialites each year to raise funds for the foundation.
