GROSSE POINTE PARK, Mich. – Acting on a search warrant, police entered the home of a slain Grosse Pointe Park woman on Friday.
Jane Bashara, 56, was found dead in a sports utility vehicle Wednesday in Detroit.
An autopsy later showed Bashara was strangled to death.
Her husband, Bob Bashara, agreed to take a polygraph test Friday evening. He left a police station just after 9 p.m. Friday. Sources tell Local 4 that police are considering him a person of interest in his wife's death.
"He voluntarily has come in. He has cooperated and he continues to cooperate with our investigation," said Grosse Pointe Park Police Chief David Hiller.
Hiller said he did not know when the polygraph test results would be available.
Bob Bashara reported Jane missing at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Family said she left home early Tuesday morning and left work later that evening.
Bob Bashara said he thought she was running an errand when he arrived home at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Jane was not there. He has been questioned by police.
"Someone did this to my wife. I'm doing what I need to do to cooperate with the authorities to find who did this to my wife," he said on Wednesday.
Bob Bashara is the only person of interest at this point in the investigation. He has retained an attorney.
No arrests have been made.
Friday's police presence at the Grosse Pointe Park home on Middlesex Road was the most all week. Both Detroit and Grosse Pointe Park police were at the home. Officers removed items from the home and placed them in a police vehicle parked in the driveway.

Detectives have been reviewing phone records and surveillance video from Bashara's place of work in the New Center area of Detroit.
The investigation is a joint effort between Detroit and Grosse Pointe Park police.
