DETROIT – Detroit police are investigating a triple murder on the city's west side.
Two men and a young mother were found shot to death early Friday morning in the dining room of an apartment in the 3000 block of W. Philadelphia.
Local 4 has learned the identity of one of the victims who was renting the apartment, 32-year-old Damon Gipson. Gipson has a 6-year-old son.
Family members on the scene told Local 4 it was two of Gipson's friends who were the other two victims: A 35-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman who has children.
Family members also said the shooting appears to have been the result of a break-in and robbery -- $200 was taken from the apartment.
