Victims were able to get themselves to hospital, all in temporary serious condition

DETROIT – Three people were hurt early Friday morning in a drive-by shooting on Detroit's east side.

Police said the victims were in the 4000 block of Algonquin at 1:30 a.m. when at least seven shots were fired at their Ford Explorer.

A 34-year-old man is being treated for gunshot wounds to the forehead and forearm, a 30-year-old woman was shot in the thumb and neck, and a 31-year-old woman was shot in the buttocks.

The victims drove themselves to a hospital and are all listed in temporary serious condition.

Police said the shooting does not appear to be random and that the shooter may have had a past relationship with one of the victims.

Police have only said they think the shooter is driving a black Dodge Ram pickup truck.
