DETROIT – With less than two weeks remaining until the November election, a man known for filing lawsuit is again trying to get Detroit mayoral candidate Mike Duggan off of the ballot.
Activist Robert Davis filed suit seeking that the Michigan Supreme Court rules Duggan off the ballot because he did not follow the proper steps to become a write-in candidate for the August primary.

Davis also is claiming that the Detroit ballots for the November election have flaws.
The court has not ruled whether or not it will even hear the cases, but if it does and rules in Davis' favor on the flawed ballot issue, it could delay the election.
Duggan campaign files countersuit
On the other side of the coin, the Duggan campaign has filed a countersuit against Davis accusing him of filing frivolous lawsuits.
A hearing on that matter is scheduled for Nov. 1.
