DETROIT - A coalition of civil rights advocates and many others in Detroit commemorated the upcoming 50th anniversary of Dr. King's March on Washington.

The Revive the Dream march started at 12 noon Saturday at Saint Anne's Church and concluded at Clark Park at 3 p.m.

The Detroit rally honored the message behind the August 28, 1963 march led by civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

King delivered his landmark "I Have a Dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial to an estimated crowd of 210,000 during that march.
