Body parts found in west Detroit house

Police investigate human remains found in burned-out house on Leslie Street in west Detroit

DETROIT – Detroit police were at a house in the 2900 block of Leslie Street Monday night where body parts have been found.

The human remains were found in the burned-out home near Linwood and Davison on the city's west side. The parts were found in black garbage bags.

The house recently was set on fire. Firefighters doused the blaze but just days later, police believe, the body parts were placed inside.

The victim is not known.

Detroit police are investigating.
