City of Detroit Budget Department hosting public forum Tuesday, October 23

Detroiters encouraged to fill out survey, attend public forum to provide budget input

DETROIT – Now's your chance to let city leaders know what is most important to you when it comes to Detroit's budget

The City of Detroit Budget Department is offering residents the opportunity to comment at a public budget forum on Tuesday, October 23rd.

The form will be held at the Northwest Activities Center, located at 18100 Meyers, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Representatives from the following departments will be at the public meeting: Public Works, Fire, Health, Police, Public Lighting, Recreation, and Water & Sewerage. 

Residents will be asked to complete a survey to help with budget input.

The Citizen Survey can be completed online at www.detroitmi.gov.

In addition to public input, the budget forum is also designed to educate citizens about the budget process.
