DETROIT – Mayor Bing proclaimed Wednesday as a day of peace and healing in Detroit.
Bing has committed to issue a proclamation from his office officially proclaiming each 22nd as a no violence day in Detroit.

Pastor Ovella and the United Communities of America will host a City Wide event taking place at Fellowship Chapel Church, located at 7707 West Outer Drive beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Since November 2010, each 22nd day of the month has been declared as the City Wide Day of Peace and Healing, a no violence day by Detroit City Council.
