DETROIT – Dan Gilbert has purchased another building in downtown Detroit.

This time it's the 44,000-square-feet Vinton Building located at 600 Woodward Avenue. No details have been released regarding the plan for the Vinton.
Gilbert now owns 17 buildings downtown.

Moreover, work is well underway for construction of a parking garage and retail space along Broadway Street in an area known as "The Z Lot."

According to Acquestrealty.com, the Vinton Building was constructed in 1917. It was designed by architect Albert Kahn.
The 12-story building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
