Detroit family pleas for help in search for father's killer

Delvhon Jones found murdered in July inside car on Rowe Street

DETROITDeAngelo Jones can't hold back tears when talking about his brother, 24-year-old Delvhon Jones.

"I don't how to feel right now. Sad, disappointed, upset, depressed," said DeAngelo.

Delvhon was found murdered in July. Police found his body inside his car on Rowe Street near 7 Mile Road in Detroit. He left behind two kids, ages 2 and 6.

"My son has a birthday next month on the 12th and his father will not be here to attend, and that's very sad, and knowing that my son has got to deal with this because the same thing happened to me when I was younger. I lost my father to a gunshot to the head, just like his daddy," said the mother of Delvhon's children.

Delvhon is described as a family man. Now, his family is left with so much heartache. Police are still searching for Delvhon's killer.

Not many leads have come in but the Jones family believes someone out there has key information that will lead to his killer being caught.

"Anyone who knows who did it, would you please come forward and give us some kind of closure, because it's really affecting the family," said a relative.

A $2,500 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest in this murder case.

Anyone with information is urged to call Detroit police or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP.
