Detroit family safe after firebombing

DETROIT – A family on Detroit's east side had a scary wake-up call early Friday morning when a firebomb was thrown into their home.

The Detroit Fire Department was dispatched to the scene on Wilfred Street around 5:30 a.m. They were able to quickly put out the fire and no one was hurt.

Sources at the scene say two Molotov cocktails were thrown into the home. Everyone was able to make it out without any injuries.

Detroit police are also investigating.
