Detroit father who allegedly shot son Saturday is 3rd argument to end in gunfire this week

Detroit crime report: Arguments end in gunfire 3 times since Thursday

DETROIT – A 22-year-old man is still in critical condition after his father allegedly shot him on Saturday.

The incident happened at 2:35 p.m. in a home on the 14100 block of Ashton on the Detroit's west side.

Police say the son and father were arguing in the home prior to the shooting.

The father was arrested after the gun was recovered

The shooting is the third in recent days in which an argument escalated into gunfire in the city.

According to a 24-hour major Detroit crime report release, there were two other shootings on the west side on Thursday.

A 36-year-old man was shot following an argument with a man on the 3200 block of Monterey.

The victim in this case was listed in critical condition.

Then around 9 p.m. a man fired shots at a victim during another argument.

In this case the suspect fired a gun striking the victim in the body. He is listed in temp-serious condition.

Police are searching for both suspects in Thursday's shootings.
