Detroit police release sketch in double homicide case

DETROIT - Detroit police have released the sketch of a man who is wanted in connection with a double slaying on the city's northeast side.

Lawrence Sanders and Lennie Edwards were shot to death in September in the 5000 block of Seneca Street, near Gratiot Avenue and Burns Street.

The two were in a blue vehicle when someone drove by and opened fire. Police said the man in the sketch was wearing a black leather jacket, jeans, and Adidas gym shoes with gum-colored soles.

Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest.
