DETROIT, Mich. – An early morning standoff in Detroit ends peacefully after a Detroit Police negotiator talks a barricaded gunman into surrendering.
Police were called to the neighborhood Thursday morning after neighbors heard shots fired from inside a house on Burlingame and Prairie streets on Detroit's west side.

Police tell Local 4 that the suspect was drinking alcohol and a history of medical issues. Detroit Police SWAT found several guns inside his house.
The suspect was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
No one was injured during the standoff.
