Gov. Snyder's NERD fund pays for Detroit EM Orr's penthouse suite

DETROIT - It's now known who is paying for Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr's accommodations at at the Westin Book Cadillac.

Orr's spokesman has confirmed that Gov. Rick Snyder's New Energy To Reinvent and Diversify (NERD) fund covers the cost of the emergency manager's penthouse suite.

The NERD fund is Snyder's non profit foundation which receives money from private donors.

The fund also covers Orr's travel to and from his home in Washington, D.C.
