DETROIT – A Detroit man has pleaded guilty to a murder charge for firing a shot that killed a 3-year-old girl last July.
Aarie Berry was shot in the head July 10, 2011, by a bullet that came into a home on the 3100 block of Canton Street.

Police said there had been some sort of an altercation and it is alleged that Devin Taylor came back to the area and fired multiple shots in retaliation.
Taylor was slated to start trial Monday on a slew of charges, including first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder and felony firearm. But he pleaded guilty last week to second-degree murder and the felony firearms charge.
He is scheduled to be sentenced March 15.
