DETROIT – Ex-convict and former Detroit City Councilwoman Monica Conyers has a new job.
Conyers recently started working at Metro Tech Collision on Michigan Avenue in Detroit's Corktown neighborhood. Local 4 stopped by on Thursday but Conyers did not want to comment about her new employment.

In 2010, Conyers was sentenced to more than three years in prison for bribery. She served most of that sentence at a federal prison in West Virginia.
She is serving the remainder of her sentence under house arrest but is allowed to have a job.
