Jennifer Ann Scavone, 32, of Sterling Heights found dead in her car on I-75 near Mack Avenue

OAK PARK, Mich. – Michigan State Police hope someone will come forward with information on the fatal shooting that happened on northbound I-75 near Mack Avenue in Detroit.

When the driver approached the vehicle, they found 32-year-old Jennifer Ann Scavone from Sterling Heights dead inside.  Scavone worked in Detroit at Bouzouki's Lounge.

An unnamed source told Local 4 they heard about 15 to 20 gunshots coming from the area around 11 p.m. Friday night. Police are unsure of the motive behind the shooting, but some drivers said it could be a case of road rage.

MSP say they received numerous tips during their investigation, but hope someone will now come forward with information on a vehicle seen following Scavone before the shooting took place.

State police want to talk to the driver of a 2004-2006 Dodge Stratus, gray or silver in color, seen on surveillance images driving behind Scavone's car.

This vehicle is missing both the front wheel covers and may have damage to the trunk lid and right front quarter panel.

Anyone who may have information is asked to contact the MSP Metro Post Tip Line at (248) 584 5740.
