A mom and her three kids were inside the house in the 0000 block of Nottingham just before 4 a.m. A neighbor saw the fire and immediately called firefighters. Before emergency crews arrived, the neighbor burst into the home and helped bring the family to safety.

Although a cause has not been identified, investigators believe the fire started in the second floor of the house.
