Tigers win 2nd straight over the Indians

The Tigers go for the series sweep Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at Comerica Park

DETROIT – The Tigers guaranteed a series win against the Cleveland Indians on Saturday, taking their second straight game against the Tribe, 6-4.

Rick Porcello notched the win for the Tigers pitching six innings, allowing three hits, two runs and striking out seven.

Prince Fielder doubled in the 2nd inning with the bases loaded, scoring three runs and putting the Tigers ahead 4-1.

Jose Valverde came on in the 9th to get the save, his 8th of the season, giving up a hit, a walk and striking out two.

The Tigers go for the series sweep tomorrow at 1:05pm at Comerica Park.
