Two Detroit favorites killed in hit-and-run accident

Two men killed thought to be town favorites 'Eat Em Up Tigers' man, and 'Dreadlock Mike'

DETROIT – Two familiar faces often seen around Comerica Park in Detroit at Tigers games appear to have been the victims of a hit-and-run. 

Detroit police said two men were hit and killed at about 3 a.m. Saturday on Gratiot near Russell. 

Witnesses tell Local 4 the men were the James Van Horn who was well known as "Eat 'em Up Tigers" guy and a man known as "Dreadlock Mike."

Police say the two were crossing the road when they were struck by a small black vehicle that didn't stop.

Police said the men have not positively been identified yet, but it is believed they are the two well-known Tigers fans.
