Jury selection begins Tuesday in Bobby Ferguson bid-rigging trial

Case could have implications on Detroit racketeering case later this year

DETROIT – Jury selection begins Tuesday for the bid-rigging trial of Bobby Ferguson.

This is a case that could have major implications on a big city hall racketeering case that takes place later this year.

Local 4 cameras were there last November as the feds came down on Bobby Ferguson's contracting business on the city's west side. Heavy equipment and cash was seized in the raid.

This is a massive, multi-million dollar bid-rigging case that has far reaching implications - from Detroit's city hall - to Ferguson's ties to disgraced former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.

Bobby Ferguson is one of the key targets for the feds as they work to connect the dots between the public's precious tax dollars and those dollars being funneled into the pockets of corrupt people doing business with Detroit.
