Kwame Kilpatrick

Kwame Kilpatrick won the November 2005 Detroit mayoral election. At 31 years old, he was the youngest mayor to be elected in Detroit's history.

In 2008, he was indicted on eight felony charges including perjury, obstruction of justice, conspiracy to obstruct justice, and misconduct in office stemming from a past affair with his former chief of staff, Christine Beatty.
