DETROIT – The man charged in connection to a series of roadway shootings across four Michigan counties will appear in court Wednesday in two different counties.
Raulie Casteel, 43, will begin the day in a Novi courtroom for charges he faces in connection to nine of 12 shootings in Oakland County.

Casteel then will appear in a Howell courtroom for charges related to a Livingston County shooting.
He has yet to be charged in the 11 other shootings in Ingham and Shiawassee counties.

The shootings began Oct. 16 and stretched from Oakland County west to Ingham County. The targets mostly were cars traveling on roads near Interstate 96. Only a handful of shootings actually occurred on the interstate. In all, 24 shootings were reported to police.
Casteel first was charged for an Oct. 18 shooting on Interstate 96 in Howell. He most recently was charged with intent to murder, among other charges, in connection to shootings in Oakland County.
Police had said they were looking for a man in his late 20s or early 30s driving a dark car. They put out a sketch of him.
Police were urging people to stick to their routines, but the shootings caused some anxious drivers to avoid their usual routes. Authorities said they received 2,800 tips in their hunt for the gunman and a $102,000 reward was being offered for information.
Casteel was arraigned on 60 felony charges in Oakland County
