Wet, windy Wednesday ahead

Temps will try to reach 50s

DETROIT – It's a mild start temperature wise with most of us waking up Wednesday with temps 35° to 40° under cloudy skies.

We will see a few pockets of drizzle and fog through the morning. But more moderate rain and thunder will be moving through Metro Detroit in the late morning and early afternoon hours.

There may be a few isolated areas with heavier rain and high temps will try to reach near 50 degrees. That means we need to be on the lookout in flood prone areas. Winds will begin to pick up SE turning SW 10-20 mph gusting closer to 25 or 30 mph at times.

here is a chance for some light snow later this evening into early Thursday morning on the cooler back side of that storm system. But, nothing more than a dusting is likely which will melt very quickly.

Our computer models are showing signs of a few light snow flare ups through lunch tomorrow. But highs Thursday will rebound back to 40 degrees with breezy conditions. The official start of Spring is 12:57 PM.

Friday will be mild with highs in the low to mid 40s with only partly sunny skies. There is another chance for a light rain/snow mix early Saturday. Get the latest radar images, and your all-important weekend forecast information on clickondetroit.com.
