Macomb County patrol car, school bus collide in New Haven

Sheriff says no students were hurt; Deputy treated, released from hospital

NEW HAVEN, Mich. – A Macomb County Sheriff's Office patrol car collided with a school bus Tuesday morning in New Haven.

According to a statement by Sheriff Anthony Wickersham, there were 15 children on the bus, but none of them were hurt.

The deputy was taken to a hospital to be checked out, but has since been released.

Wickersham said the marked patrol car was travelling westbound on Ravine Drive and the school bus was traveling northbound on River Oaks in the Decora Park Subdivision when the collision happened.

Wickersham said the cause of the crash is still being investigated.
