WARREN, Mich. - A Farmington Hills man is accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that killed one person and injured another.

Cuong Minh Nguyen, 35 is charged with operating under the influence causing death and operating under the influence causing injury.

Warren police said Nguyen was behind the wheel of a Subaru Impreza early Sunday morning when he lost control on 12 Mile Road near Dequindre and hit a tree.

Passenger Kimber Lee Mao, 20, of Detroit, was thrown from the car during the crash and was killed.

Another passenger, Alan Tyler, 23, of Taylor, suffered injuries to his leg.

Nguyen suffered cuts to his head.
