HARPER WOODS, Mich. -

A 37-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon for allegedly firing shots at a Home Depot employee in the parking lot.

Harper Woods police said the employee was backing out of a parking space at the store on Kelly Road near Eight Mile Road when he was approached by the suspect, who tried to open his door. The employee drove off, but police said the suspect fired off several rounds from a handgun at the car. The employee wasn't hurt, but his car was damaged.

Police arrested the suspect near the store on several felony charges, including assault with intent to murder. They said a gun was also recovered.
