Man arrested in connection to shooting, armed robbery at gas station

INKSTER, Mich. – Michigan State Police arrested 23-year-old Kyrrah Carter, of Romulus, in connection to an armed robbery and shooting that happened at the Marathon gas station in Inkster.

Police say the shooting, which was non-fatal, happened at 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Avondale Street and Inkster Road.

When authorities asked for the public's help finding the robber, MSP received several tips that led detectives to Carter.

Carter was arraigned Thursday morning and charged with assault with intent to murder, armed robbery, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, felon in possession of a firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon and felony firearms.

His bond was set at $100,000.
