ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A man was assaulted with a stapler Monday night in a library at the University of Michigan, campus police said.
In a crime alert, police said the victim was in the first-floor computer area of the Shapiro undergraduate library when another man starting yelling at him. The man threw a stapler at the victim and punched and kicked him, police said. The man then left.

Police didn't say what the victim's injuries were, but said he did seek medical help.
The description of the victim's attacker released by police is: black man in his late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 9 inches tall. He possibly had a mustache and was wearing a Detroit Tigers baseball cap and shirt, hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
