Man calls 911 repeatedly for cheeseburger

Dispatcher in Indiana sends police to man's home after 9 calls

A man's cheeseburger cravings landed him in jail in Indiana.

Gregory Jackson Sr., 52, dialed 911 not once, not twice, but nine times last weekend to order a cheeseburger, Indianapolis TV station WISH reported.

The dispatcher, who sounded pretty irritated, initially hung up on him.

Dispatcher: OK, so why did you call 911 for, what do you need.
Dispatcher: Do you have an emergency?
Jackson: A cheeseburger.
Dispatcher: Have a good day.

After eight more calls, the dispatcher told Jackson "we don't take cheeseburger orders" and sent police to his home in New Castle, The Star Press reported.

Turns out, Jackson, who was highly intoxicated, has an extensive criminal record and was arrested on an outstanding warrant, according to WISH.
