LIVONIA, Mich. – A Redford Township man is charged in connection to at least one of several daytime home invasions in Northville Township and Livonia.

Livonia police say Adam Sheltraw, 39, was arrested Monday afternoon after a home invasion in the 14000 block of Richfield Street in Livonia. Police say they recovered items stolen from the home upon arresting Sheltraw. Most of the items stolen were jewelry, electronics and cash, police said.

Moreover, upon executing a search warrant Livonia police found stolen items from other home invasions. Police believe Sheltraw is responsible for up to six home invasions in Northville Township and at least four in Livonia.

Police say homes were being broken into during the day. The invader would break out the glass on a door wall or force open a window to gain entry.

Sheltraw has been on parole for a prior home invasion conviction. He was arraigned Wednesday on a home invasion charge and a habitual offender (4th) charge. He received a $500,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court May 21 for a preliminary examination.
