A 26-year-old man has been charged with third-degree arson in connection with a string of fires set in Detroit buildings.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office said Anthony Fields also is charged with obstruction of justice and resisting police.
The charges involves two of the fires -- which were set between 12:55 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Monday in the area of Seven Mile and John R roads.
Fields was arraigned Wednesday in Detroit's 36th District Court. He pleaded not-guilty and his bond was set at $500,000 cash or surety.
