Man charged with stealing Commerce Township fire rescue rig

COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Jason Lehto, a 35-year-old man from Commerce Township, has been charged with motor vehicle theft in connection to the theft of a fire rescue rig from the Commerce Township fire station.

The rig was stolen Friday from the township's Station 2 on Commerce Road.

Oakland police helped track it to Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, where it was parked near the emergency room entrance.

Lehto was released on a personal bond.
