Man connected to Clinton Twp. mom, daughter murders waives exam

Jay Thomas Miller charged with resisting, obstructing a police officer

CLINTON TWP, Mich. – The man believed to be connected to - but not charged with - the murders of a mother and daughter in Clinton Township appeared in court Monday morning.

Jay Thomas Miller waived his right to a preliminary exam.

Miller has not been charged with the murders of Tina Geiger and her daughter Chrissy, but has been charged with resisting and obstructing a police officer and lying to a police officer during a violent crime investigation.

The mentally impaired mother and daughter were found stabbed to death inside their apartment at Parkway Village July 30.

Many people who knew the two told Local 4 the mother and daughter were inseparable and loved by all.

"You'd see them everyday, walking to the store. They'd speak to us. We'd give them loose change," said neighbor Maurice Williams.

They had no car and walked everywhere, neighbors say. The highlight of their day was walking up to the nearby 7-Eleven for a grape Slurpee.

"Something as simple as going to 7-Eleven to buy a Slurpee, that made her day," said Williams.
