TAYLOR, Mich. – Taylor police are working to identify a man who was hit and killed early Monday morning on Eureka Road.
Police said witnesses told them the man was hit around 6 a.m. when he stepped out into the eastbound lanes of Eureka Road, just east of Interstate 75.

The driver who hit him, a 21-year-old Brownstown man, is talking with police.
Police said the victim, described as a black male in his 60s with scruffy facial hair, is possibly homeless. He was wearing black pants, a T-shirt, sports coat and black shoes. He was carrying garbage bags.
