Man found dead inside burned vehicle outside Frenchtown Township bar

FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An investigation is underway in Monroe County after a man was found dead inside a vehicle in Frenchtown Township.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, fire crews responded to a vehicle fire at the Gravel Pit Bar on North Telegraph Road about 3 a.m. Saturday. Firefighters found a 33-year-old man dead inside the vehicle. The man had been a patron at the bar earlier.

The Sheriff's Department is still working to determine how and where exactly the fire started.
