INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Authorities in Oakland County are asking for the public's help to find a missing 21-year-old man who has ADHD and Asperger’s Syndrome. 

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Tuesday that Adam McClain was discovered missing June 2 from his adult care residence in the 4900 block of Ennismore Street in Independence Township. It's believed that he climbed out a window, the Sheriff's Office said.

McClain functions at a level of a 14-year-old and doesn't have a cellphone, the Sheriff's office said. He may have a small amount of money on him and could be headed to Waterford Township. 

He is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, and weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark blue or black pajama bottoms and a white softball T-shirt with dark blue or black sleeves. Per staff at the residence, it's not know if that was what he was wearing when he left.
