DETROIT – Michigan State Police say a man who was walking on I-375 in downtown Detroit was hit by a car and killed early Saturday morning.
In a statement, police said the man, a 38-year-old Easpointe resident, was walking in the southbound exit lane to Jefferson Avenue when he was hit by a Chevy Impala. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver who hit the man stopped and called 911, saying he didn't see the man in the road, police said.
