Man wanted for robbing 2 banks at same intersection in Farmington Hills 3 weeks apart

No weapon used in bank robberies

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Police are searching for a man who is accused of robbing two banks in Farmington Hills over the last three weeks.

In the first incident, on May 31 at 1:37 p.m., the man walked into the Bank of America in the 25000 block of Middlebelt Road near W. 11 Mile Road, officials said.

Police said the man approached the teller and handed over a note that said, "Give me your 100s and 50s quietly and safely."

The man left through the main door and walked to his vehicle, which was parked in a nearby strip mall.

Police describe the man as 20 to 25 years old with a short and stocky build, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 220 pounds. He has black hair, a heavy beard and a mustache.

The man was wearing a black T-shirt with a red Polo logo on it, black shorts, black socks, white tennis shoes, a black hat and black sunglasses with polarized lenses.

On Tuesday at 2:48 p.m., a man walked into the Chase Bank in the 26000 block of Middlebelt Road at the intersection of 11 Mile Road. The Chase Bank is kitty-corner from the Bank of America.

Police said the man handed the teller a note demanding money, and he was given an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man was wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and a black Chicago Bulls baseball cap.

He left the bank and was last seen walking southeast toward a Kroger store.

There was no weapon seen or implied in either robbery, police said.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
