Medical examiner: Oxford father, infant were murdered

OXFORD, Mich. – The causes of death for a 7-month-old girl and her 29-year-old father have been ruled homicides by the Oakland County Medical Examiner.

It has been nearly two weeks since Daryne Gailey and Charley Hendrick were found dead in Gailey's Oxford home. Police have been waiting to talk to the man's mother who was the only person found alive at the home. She has been in a hospital since.

Police found a box cutter at the scene. They say Gailey's throat was slashed. Charley died from blunt force trauma to her head.

Police say other evidence was found at the home, but they're not saying what it is at this time.

No arrests have been made.
