WARREN, Mich. – Two men charged in connection to a home invasion and assault case in Warren had a court hearing Tuesday but their preliminary examination has been adjourned.
Police said a 71-year-old woman woke up at about 5 a.m. Jan. 19 to a flashlight in her face and robbers in her home on Falmouth Street near 11 Mile and Hoover roads. She was tied up and the home was ransacked.

The woman’s son said the intruders were armed with a bat and broke in through a window. They allegedly threatened the woman and threatened to kill her cat.
Her purse, cash, keys, wallet, jewelry and her wedding ring were stolen. The intruders also forced her to give up her ATM pin before going to a nearby Walmart and draining her checking account.
Dion Bryant, 20, of Center Line, is charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of first-degree home invasion, one count of second-degree home invasion, false imprisonment, receiving and concealing stolen property, and possession of marijuana. Devon Hawkins, 21, of Detroit, is charged with armed robbery and first-degree home invasion.
Byrant and Hawkins have a preliminary examination Tuesday morning. Court is expected to start about 8:45 a.m.
Bryant was given a $605,000 bond. Hawkins was given a $100,000 bond.
Two other men face misdemeanor charges. Tyree Bolling-Brown, 19, Center Line, is charged with receiving and concealing stolen property. Tyler Wade, 19, of Center Line, is charged with receiving and concealing stolen property, and no operations license acquired.
Bolling-Brown and Wade were both given $1,000 bonds.
