Men convicted in 2012 slayings of Westland teens in Detroit

DETROIT – Two men have been found guilty in the drug-related killings of two Westland teens whose bodies were found in an eastside Detroit field.

Fredrick Young, 26, and 24-year-old Felando Hunter have been convicted of first degree murder, felony murder, torture, armed robbery, unlawful imprisonment and felony firearm. Young also has been convicted of a felon in possession of a firearm charge.

They are scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 21.

The bodies of 17-year-old Jourdan Bobbish and 18-year-old Jacob Kudla were found July 27, 2012. The Westland teens had been missing for five days after trying to buy drugs. They were found shot to death in a field.
