Governor has 30 days to make plans for next move after receiving Detroit Financial Review Team's report

DETROIT – Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder will hold a 2:30 p.m. news conference Thursday to discuss the Detroit Financial Review Team report which was released Tuesday.

The team's report stated the city is under a financial emergency.

Snyder will not be announcing any decisions Thursday when he talks to media members. He only will be discussing the report.

He has 30 days to make a decision and announce a plan moving forward. That plan could include the appointment of an emergency financial manager in Detroit.

By the end of the week, Snyder may announce an emergency manager is necessary. However, the name of the candidate chosen may not be known until March. Sources say he has been interviewing top candidates for the past six weeks.

Local 4 will interview the governor after his conference.
