FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. -

The Holocaust Memorial Center in suburban Detroit plans to dedicate a permanent exhibit honoring Anne Frank.

The exhibit being unveiled Sunday at the Farmington Hills center features a sapling from the chestnut tree that consoled Frank as she hid during Nazi occupation in Amsterdam.

It also will feature photographs and scrolling quotations from her diary.

Officials say the afternoon ceremony will introduce the exhibit's donors and feature an interview with a Holocaust survivor who knew Frank.

The center was one of more than a dozen sites selected to receive the saplings.
