DETROIT - A 35-year-old Auburn Hills man has been charged with human trafficking for allegedly sexually exploiting a 16-year-old girl by recruiting her to work as a prostitute.
Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette said Thursday Jackie Robinson Harris is also facing prostitution charges and a criminal enterprise charge -- all are felony charges that carry up to 20 years in prison.
Schuette said Harris is accused of recruiting the teen from Pontiac and enticing her to help run a prostitution ring before later having her work as a prostitute.
Harris was arrested in Warren on Wednesday by the Michigan State Police with assistance from the Warren Police Department.
