MUSKEGON, Mich. – The Michigan mother of a 1-year-old boy who was dragged in his stroller by a hit-and-run driver is breaking her silence.
In an interview with WOOD-TV, 18-year-old Ariana Currier said she had just left a Muskegon convenience store on June 25 after buying cereal and milk when a minivan backed into her, knocking her to the ground. But even more stunning, her son's stroller became stuck in the van's bumper.
Currier said she was horrified to see the van starting to drive away and her son, Elijah, being dragged behind it.
"I honestly thought I was going to lose my son … My adrenaline kicked in to save my son," the mother said.

The van stopped briefly, allowing Currier just enough time to grab her son from the stroller. But the driver sped off seconds later.
"I believe someone was watching over me," Currier said. "But then again, I'm not sure. Maybe it was just luck. I don't know."
Both mother and son suffered some scrapes, but weren't seriously hurt.
The entire incident was caught on camera, which has been released by police.
They've also released pictures of the suspected driver who was inside the same store as Currier before the incident.
