Michigan State Police said a 24-year-old man is in critical condition after a crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 75 in Detroit.

Police said the driver, Lesean Khyrie Winfield Jr., wasn't wearing his seat belt when he lost control of the Buick SUV he was driving in the northbound lanes near the Davison Freeway.

The SUV slammed into a median before flipping.

Police said Winfield was thrown from the SUV. He was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital.
