Michigan State University police make arrest in terror threat

EAST LANSING, Mich. – Michigan State University police said they arrested a person Thursday morning in connection to a threat of terrorism that was written on a building wall.

Police said the threat was found in the Packaging Building.

After following up on a number of leads overnight with the FBI, the arrest was made.

"The additional security measures undertaken as a result of this threat have been suspended, and there is no ongoing threat to the MSU community," police said in a statement.

Threats of terrorism are a felony under Michigan law.

Police said the case will be turned over to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office for review of charges.
